Pesti Career day is the largest recruitment event in Northern Finland. The event for 2026 is organized on the 15th of January. Registration for companies starts in early November. Information about registration will be sent to companies that have taken part in the event last year. Companies on the Pesti mailing lists will also receive the details.

Pesti is organized annually at the Linnanmaa campus of the University of Oulu.  The event is targeted to students and companies in technical fields, but there are also students and companies from other fields taking part.

The event attracts over on estimate 2000 participants annually.

Employers are provided with a comprehensive event package. During the day employers can meet students of every field from both the University of Oulu and the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The employers can also introduce themselves in the Pesti’s company database, which can be used by the job seekers even after the event.

Job seekers have an excellent opportunity to discuss with recruiting experts, network, and acquire useful tips for planning their own career and practical advice to support their application processes. Pesti has free entrance, so everyone searching for a place to work and studying their career possibilities are welcome to participate!

The event takes place at the University of Oulu’s Linnanmaa campus. The international University of Oulu has over 14,000 students, 8 faculties and many specialized research units. Oulu University of applied sciences has 9,000 students. Together, they create the foundation for multidisciplinary research, new innovations, and the training of new professionals for demanding work life.
